The mission of the Furlow Fund based at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is to support the delivery of comprehensive, compassionate, and timely surgical, dental, and medical team care for children with Craniofacial Anomalies in the Middle East.

To carry out this mission, the Furlow Fund is committed to training Palestinian and Middle Eastern Craniofacial professionals, and future professionals, to provide team-centered care for these children.

Furthermore, craniofacial professionals and trainees from outside the Middle East will be recruited and guided in how to support their Middle Eastern colleagues in delivering team-centered care. The goal of this partnership is to nurture and establish independent local capacity for craniofacial care.

The Furlow Fund will partner with organizations that have similar goals.
The Furlow Fund will provide a yearly Furlow Scholarship for a deserving Craniofacial Fellow to travel to the Middle East to participate in delivery of team-centered craniofacial surgical care.
